Back
to Seattle
Our ship left Prince Rupert for a day at sea followed by an overnight
cruise back to Seattle. I had wanted to get a look at the west
coast of Vancouver Island but we were far off shore with only a peak at
the mountains every now and then between the clouds. Being on the
Pacific side of the island meant we finally got some motion in the
boat. At the end of the day at sea the bridge was reporting seas of
seven to ten feet. Did not phase the big stabilized Sun. We
had a chance to photograph our cabin on this leg of the trip.

After a week on board I finally find the ships model.

Since we had a few hours to kill after disembarkment we went on a
Seattle bus tour which included a stop at the Space Needle.
Impressive.

As you can imagine the view was pretty good from up there...

Still more impressive was the weather - yes - still clouds - but warm
and pleasant. We were so impressed we decided that we could live
here someday.

I took a picture of Susanne...

And she took one of me.

But all good things must come to an end and so does this 25th
Anniversary Vacation. The Inside Passage is striking and
intriguing. I predict that someday we will make one trip through
Southeast Alaska's Inside Passage...
